| Details | In 1986 Bill Elliott won 3 races. All three races were won with this particular chassis. Documented by car owner, Mellin Racing. This car won the Miller American 400 at Michigan, the Championship Sparkplug400 at Michigan, and won "The Winston" from the pole, and lead every lap at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It also finished 6th in the Coca Cola World 600 and 7th at the Oakwood Homes 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway that year. The car finished 3rd in the Atlanta Journal 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway that year. Further use in ARCA by Dorsey Schroeder. The engine is a very strong Ernie Elliott engine with less than 100 miles on it. The paint was done at Dawsonville. Although now set up for road courses, it was the team's primary speedway car (Atlanta, Charlotte, and Michigan) for 1986. Extra Bilstein shocks, springs, sway bars, wheels, tires, fueling equipment, etc. come with the car. |
