| Details | Block: .030 over Fomoco , cross bolted, side oiler block machine as a center oiler for Marine use. Never grenaded or windowed. Fomoco forged steel crank, with "c" clip hollow journal/cross drilled (10/10 or standard can't recall); Fomoco polished and peened Lemans rods with new ARP bolts; JE domed pistons 12.5:1 CR (race gas only); Aluminum Medium Riser heads correct "C5" casting numbers, (I know cheating a bit here) with one piece stainless steel valves; I just can't remember if the engine has roller rockers or not. I'll have to look. Probably roller rockers; correct "no-hole" "Pent-Roof" steel chrome valve covers with oil quick fill fitting; correct Fomoco NASCAR MR dual plane 4V intake; correct "C5" Lemans bowl Holley 4V; correct H&M Bat Wing air cleaner/cowl induction; contemporary Hooker competition plus tubular headers (ceramic coated) that are smilar to H&M design; correct H&M 8 quart deep pan; Fomoco windage tray; Comp Cams solid lifter cam (similar profile to stock H&M cam of the day); true roller timing chain & steel gears; Melling HV pump; correct Fomoco distributor converted to petronix/MSD ignition; correct Fomoco style fuel filter; correct H&M lettered oil cooler;( Engine broken in on a dyno @ 505 HP/7,000 rpm--call Scott Newbury @ Powered by Ford/Orlando (407) 843-FORD for independent report on machine work and break in dyno run). Fomoco steel fly wheel; high performance 11" clutch (forget manufacturer); Ford wide ratio=2 0top loader, long tail shaft '65 Galaxie, four speed and Fomoco shifter with correct '64 Galaxie style shifter knob; H&M 9" floater differential with Detroit Locker (I think I have an N case in it at present with a 3.70 ratio at this time --can't remember). Dyno time, car show work and Goodwood Hill Climb runs (some of which were completed backwards!) only since new. That's pretty much it. FYI based on the period documents I have the car makes just about the same HP that a race spec H&M MR did in 1965. |
